The GOG.com connect is something I’m curious on, I’ve been reading and loving GOG lately except my debit card won’t connect because my bank recognizes it as a foreign company. I would rather have my games off of GOG because it’s generally future proof and achievements don’t mean anything to me. So if I use GOG connect, I have a few questions.
1. Is it a paid subscription service?
2. Is there anything I’d be risking game wise?

If it doesn't mention a price then it's free.

Besides, any subscription service will ask you for credit card information up front. You've already said that's impossible for them to use.

I don't think you know what GOG Connect actually is, that is why I linked the FAQ.

It's free. All it does is connect your steam account with your GOG account.

If you have certain games on steam that are eligible on GOG, then you get them on your GOG account as well.

I'd be real curious how Gog would be able to run a subscription service when all their stuff is DRM free. It'd be like "Ok, now that you're no longer paying for the subscription, we'd like it very much if you would delete all the games you are supposed to be ineligible to play. We trust you."
