Super Turbo is a lot more complicated than any SF before it. A lot of players prefer Hyper Fighting for its simplicity (and balance), and some even prefer Champion Edition for its leisurely pace. Super Turbo (as well as HSF:AE) also has the worst singleplayer mode of all versions, thanks to a hilariously impossible AI and removal of all bonus rounds. The Japanese version has a much more reasonable AI opponent, though still lacks bonus rounds. I really hope they tone down the AI, but I doubt it.

New Challengers sucks, no reason to play it when you have Super Turbo (unless you really want to play bonus rounds as a Super character). World Warrior is worth a playthrough on singleplayer, though - it's the only version where all of the stages are fully intact and correctly colored, and it's the only version where M. Bison is a properly intimidating opponent. Even reaching Balrog's stage is special - it's truly like reaching the boss stages where the old rules don't apply any more and they can do stuff you haven't seen yet, like Vega's climbing on the background scenery. Super Turbo just reduces those stages to standard fights.

I loved playing SF2 both Hyper Fighting and HDRemix online on the 360 years ago. This may be a first day buy for me. Right now, I have to use Fightcade to play old school fighting games.

I actually don't know why anyone is excited for this. There's only really 3 games worth playing in here (SSF2T, Alpha 3, Third Strike), and they've already been made available a ton of times. Do we even know if these games are the best versions? For example, does Alpha 3 have the characters from Alpha 3 Max? It's especially jokey if not.

I wish they would have included things like Pocket Fighter, Capcom vs SNK 2, Street Fighter EX, etc, that we don't tend to see as often.

If it was a complete collection, they would have nothing to sell you in the future!

i think i'm beginning to see it now.

for many PC gamers this will be the first and only time they'll be investing in these games but maybe you're a mad peasant who has fallen for capcom's peddling scheme across multiple generations of consoles.

in fact that's the only thing that makes sense judging by your pessimistic attitude.

No. I did get Super Street Fighter® II Turbo HD Remix for $1 on PS3 though. The best version of the game by far.

Nope, USF2 is objectively superior.

even the 3 games you mentioned have never been officially available on PC/windows.

at best SSF2T was available on DOS/amiga but have fun tracking that one down from any place that isn't a rom site.

I had to look this up, but it looks like it's accurate. So I guess if you're a PC-only player it might have some value (we'll assume the collection is more desirable than emulators because of a more active online scene). That being said, I doubt the online scene will be very large for these games, mainly because most people have played them a million times and gotten tired of them already.
