GTX 1080 launched at $599.
1180 Ti will be a $1000 card.

The GTX 10 series is also Nvidia's highest selling and most successful series of all time, with a full 2 year retail span.

The next-gen Nvidia Shield device will release in 2018 as well with Volta architecture, with an enhanced Nvidia/Google assistant with their AI tech.

Wasn’t it 699 at launch then dropped when the Ti hit the market???

Wasn’t it 699 at launch then dropped when the Ti hit the market???

It launched at $599 and got reduced to $499 for the refresh.

Not all of us are demanding to be able to play games at 4k or triple-digit framerates. Some of us would be happy if our games were playable at all. My laptop can't even maintain 30fps in Terraria on the lowest settings.
