Next year is going to be 5 years since I built my first gaming PC. Have to decide between keeping it as it is or upgrading it to play the latest games in ULTRA. Is is still worth it to upgrade it?

Depends on what you need to upgrade if you have an Old AMD rig and want to upgrade to Ryzen you will need an enite new rig.

Ryzen 1700x -$279.

16gbs DDR4 4x 4gb sticks of RAM $204

Mobo- $59-200+ depending on what you want.

New case $59-$150+ again depends on what you want.

Cpu cooler unless you get the Ryzen 1700 it comes with one the 1700x does not.

New Rig with a Wraith Max cooler.
