I've got it built and going through basic setup right now:

Either that case has zero cable management or you didnt put any effort towards hiding the cables.

It's fine.

Not fine, because it will affect the cooling performance big time with all those empty hdd trays/cage and the cable mess blocking a lot of air coming inside the case.

If you can remove either one of those hdd cage things or the empty hdd trays, i would advise doing so to improve airflow.

From what I read in the Newegg comments, you can’t remove any of the cages. I mean maybe you can pull them out of there, but I don’t think they’re meant to be removable. There’s only so much cable management you can do with that $25 case and it looks like he didn’t try too hard. I wish we hadn’t talked him into getting that modular power supply. It would have been hysterical to see the cable management from the non-modular PSU.

I thought the Tesseract case had the cut out for the PSU to draw its air from underneath the case, but I guess not.

Looking at this picture, the case have some form of cable management:

Oh wait, I just checked. The PSU can be mounted fan down on the Tesseract.

Wow, I hope the perspective on those pictures are misleading, because it looks like the small case legs have disappeared into the carpet and the bottom of the case is in the carpet.

Please tell me the PSU isn’t mounted fan down.

Thanks for pointing that out. I put some cardboard under it.

Is this better?

Although there is a filter on the bottom, so I doubt it did too much damage in the time it was like that. Plus it was still installing stuff (not gaming), so not much power/heat.

Yes, that is better than nothing and you could also use a piece of plywood instead of the cardboard.

I can't put it on the desk because the TV is taking up all the space.

Could you put the case behind the tv sideways.

Even if I could, I doubt the desk would handle the weight.

Buy a cheap shelf from Target and put that sumb**** on it, it'll get filled with dust in no time on the floor.
