Probably better off buying rechargeable AA. Get a 4 pack then you could always have some in standby and also you for other stuff if you need it.

I've heard good things about this one.

I second the rechargeable AAs. Good ones like Eneloops will last a long time.

I got the official battery pack for the controller and its still as good as it was out of the box ~3 years later? (i got it the day the xbone launched)

comes with a wire with a charging indicator on it too.

The battery packs will charge when you plug in the controller.
Rechargeable batteries will not charge in the controller, you have to remove them and use a regular battery charger.
So it really depends on what you want to do when the battery dies. Do you want to replace the batteries, or tether yourself to your PC with a USB cable?

800mAh? lol, what a rip, gonna be charging that every night if not more. And it doesn't look like it'll charge anywhere but on that dock, can't see if that battery has a USB port (it probably doesn't), so unless you have 2 controllers you're SOL when the battery dies. For comparison, one of my rechargeable AA batteries is 2300mAh, so 4600mAh total. Lasts a week or two depending on use.
