Got it for free with my PS4 Pro bundle, this was weeks before PC launch. Gave it a brief run. Found it to be abysmal. Got PC version for free as well.

Obviously they release these sorts of games on console due to the money, but beyond that, I don't get it. Console is low FoV (I would guess 65 - 75) and 25-30fps even on Pro. Add to that the fact that even with auto-aim, the game is a nightmare to control with sticks vs. the smoothness of PC.

Nice going to PC and getting a frame rate to match my refresh rate. I had to decap ingame since it unfortunately only allows to cap at 60, then goes uncapped which goes into the 200+ range on max settings, then cap through the external program. The FoV of 105 is also nice, though I wish that could go higher as well.

The AI reaction time and accuracy is definitely tuned for console, it's really f***ing easy on PC. Same effect when I went from playing Mass Effect 2 on 360 to Mass Effect 2 on PC - maximum difficulty was still way easier just because everything about the gameplay was designed for the handicapped input experience of the lesser platforms.

Very well optimized on PC. Max settings, it isn't very technically demanding, but although it's a pretty game due to the wide color palette, it's pretty the way WoW can be - due to art direction, not due to being a tech powerhouse (unlike Gears of War 4, which was quite ugly from an artistic perspective, but incredible from a tech standpoint when I played it on max settings in October of 2016). Even in the hub areas with lots of players, I don't see much load on my system. Again reminds me what a lousy port Nioh is in the tech department, due to how heavy load that is compared to its actual visuals (Destiny 2 is definitely doing more with far less). Since the raid sizes in this game cap out at just six players (a symptom of the console roots), and I've seen performance in public events, I can say with a clear conscience that they did do a good job of ensuring Destiny 2 made intelligent use of the hardware, rather than simply dumping the console code to PC and jacking up the requirements to brute force through it. Which is what Nioh did.

All that aside, game is a 6/10 so far. But, it's something that does coop properly, and isn't total dog s***. Not many games can say this today.

Maybe you should just git gud on consoles?

How do I make my PS4 Pro run Destiny 2 105 FoV 1080p@60fps? I'd love to hear how you make your console "git gud" like that!

Why would he waste time to git gud on an inferior version of the game.
And with a contoller he would never git as gud as keyboard and mouse players anyway.

I meant with the "handicapped input device" referred to as the controller, now to make that hardware better you might need to be a wizard.
