Do some of you guys that have no issues use adblock plus? Cause that started to cause random freezes since it wasn't supported anymore. I've deleted it and it seems around that time is when the memory leaks started happening. Is it the ads that are causing it on pages?

Until you realize that Pale Moon is just a prehistoric version of Firefox and most sites that have even a vague interest in user security will tell you "hey, you're using an old browser" and deny access/make it really slow and unusable.

Having no issues with the current Firefox personally. Try Waterfox.
If you don't like microtransactions in full priced AAA games, vote with your wallet and don't buy those games.

Yeah I use Adblock Plus. I also haven't had any issues with plugin incompatibility since Firefox changed their plugin containers or whatever, now sure how that all worked out but there weren't any problems on my end so I never looked into it.

Not sure, I don't actively use FireFox but I switched to uBlock Origin awhile back. It already seems to be updated for the new engine or whatever. (Not Marked Legacy)

So, give that a try?

I hope my 2 legacy addons eventually update...

57 will be the worst release yet, gonna just stick with Pale Moon/FF52 ESR tbh

I have nothing bad to say about 57 so far. Fixed all my old Firefox problems, now runs as fast as any.

Yeah 57 is absolutely where I jump off the train, and I've been following Firefox since 1.5.

And what is this supposed to be about?

It's going to kill any addons not compatible with the extension API that Chrome uses, WebExtensions. And there's not going to be any workaround because Firefox's traditional addon code is going to be completely removed.

Realistically most addon developers are not going to feel like porting, and the grand majority of addons are currently marked "Legacy" and won't work with 57. There have already been some addon devs who spitefully took their addons off of AMO in protest, despite no alternatives being available.

Pale Moon switched to new code months ago. It doesn't tail Firefox's development anymore.

The new problem with it is that it's not popular at all and therefore many sites don't support it, and a bunch of addons don't work with it because they abandoned Firefox code. They're also really behind on HTML5 support and still don't have it working perfectly on YouTube of all things.
