Anyone here play this? I love it, I bought all the DLC for it, only game I have done this for. I like it more than American Truck Simulator because I don't like driving in the desert as much as in the greenery of Europe. Plus the radio stations in ETS2 are better, British talk radio ftw!

322 hours. It would be much higher now but my PC died. It may be a lot bigger, but ATS has better detail. It's going to be looking pretty darn awesome when they start going eastward. The scenery [in ETS2] is much better in the DLC though. I think Scandinavia is the best, followed by France.

In short, it's one of the best games I've ever played. It's also the best game in the genre I've ever played.

I need to get back into it, but I messed up my controls config and can't get used to them again.

Such a great, relaxing game. Couldn't get into American Truck as much, maybe when it's more fleshed out.
What's a knockout like you doing in a computer-generated gin joint like this?

Not playing it right now.

I will get back to it when the new scanias get released, which are most likely to happen in 2018.

I tried and after 2 hours or less of playing it I was starting to literally fall asleep. The game is so damn boring and slow it will do that to you.

I find it incredibly relaxing, not boring and slow. Yes, a driving simulator isn't for everyone. I listen to my music while I drive. It's great.

You have to excuse Fail2black... he doesn't have much of an attention span so unless there's the equivalent of a laser dot for him to chase or someone jangling some keys in front of him he loses interest quickly.

I put some time into Euro Truck sim 2, but now my big challenge is getting it working comfortably in VR where I can drive around and actually look out the window casually as I drive...

Yeah, at the very least, let me launch it from inside VR and use the motion controllers for the menus or something... I'd still want to use a wheel and pedals to drive though.

I think ATS actually starts up VR for you (so if you're already in VR it may not work right) but I think ETS2 needs you to start it from the desktop and then go put the VR headset on.
