Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-57D4 15.6-Inches Full HD Notebook (7th Gen Intel Core i5-7200U, GeForce 940MX, 8GB DDR4 SDRAM, 256GB SSD, Windows 10 Home.

What steps should I take for initial setup? So far I have done...

1. Avast anti-virus
2. Steam/itunes/google drive
3. System restore point

Does the graphics card work automatically or do I need to configure it?

Thank for any advice.

You have a laptop so you should be good to go.

Just make sure your up to date on windows and your good.

If it is not new then Update your GPU drivers.

Go ahead and uninstall all the bloatware Acer has installed.

Go get the most up to date chipset/network/audio drivers from the manufacturers site (Acer)

As above, get the video drivers from Nvidia and update Windows

See if this helps you:

^Do this if you're concerned about Windows 10/Microsoft spying on you. I did everything in the video except the more complicated parts where he starts editing system files & whatnot.

I use Windows Defender, Malwarebytes, SpywareBlaster, CCleaner, Adguard, Ghostery.

For gaming related stuff: Steam , GOG/Galaxy, Origin, Uplay, HumbleBundle, Epic Games launcher, Blizzard/ GameRanger to play old games multiplayer. If you're coming from consoles, you might even have accounts for some of these already(Uplay, Origin, etc).
