@arleas hilarious that it's the guys with ark. I'm a late comer to the game but I've heard so much about how ark for the longest time was the worst coded, most unoptimized game in EA lol.

Actually, it's Ark in name only... I mean, basically, a new team are working on it and they're licensing the name since everybody knows the dinosaur game on Steam is Ark, so you gotta name it Ark Park (and you bet Jurassic wasn't a coincidence they used Park in the name).

Ark is by " Studio Wildcard ,Instinct Games , Efecto Studios ,Virtual Basement LLC "

While Ark park is by "Snail games" (I guess that means they're expecting to move really slowly? Or maybe if their fans get salty they'll shrivel up and die?)

I'm sure more than 12 will buy it, but 70% will be people who didn't read the system requirements and will leave a bad review and refund it.

Steam should post the stats of the computer used to review the game so you can see if they had a s***ty computer and complained about the performance or what

While I agree that it's prudent to read system requirements, I don't think many people would expect a game that requires a 1080 as the bare minimum. 'Hey guys, you know how the VR audience is already a small niche of the gaming audience? Well, let's make a game that requires a 1080! I bet it will sell like gold-plated yachts!' lol

Well, back when VR was still pretty new I bought a 1080 just so I could be assured of the best possible experience (The 1080Ti wasn't out yet and I found a path to upgrade to that which is what I'm doing now)

I think it would be interesting to see how many people that have VR have at least a 1080 or better though. I kinda doubt the people who rarely spend more than $200 on a video card are going to be splurging for VR anyway. It kinda goes both ways (but you never know).

It would be nice if Valve separated the statistics so I could see just the VR owners instead of the stats melded with everyone else's

Hell I wish we could see review users builds on all reviews not just vr ones. But I'm hoping at least 90% have the 970 at minimum if they have vr. Haven't put much time in ark as I'm just waiting for full release but I will look into ark park as that has real potential.
I can be patient, but I'm not waiting!

I think the Rift actually says you can get by on a 960, so there's a chance a lot of people have less than the 970.

I started out with a GTX 780 and it did ok, but any kind of super sampling would just make it stutter like crazy.

But yeah, the market is still small. According to the steam hardware survey for July, 1/4th of 1% of all steam users own a HTC Vive.... 23 out of every 10,000 people and 14 out of every 10,000 people own a Rift (not counting the Rift Dev kits that were pre-facebook).

Though I guess if you figure that steam has 125 million steam users, then .23% comes out to 287,500 users for the vive and 175,000 Rift users which is still close to half a million users total. (Of course, these figures are probably wildly inaccurate)

So far, it's Ghost Recon Wildlands at Ultra settings for me.

1080ti runs it at 60-80fps in 1080p.
I have a 120hz 1080p monitor so I'd like to run it faster.

Triple screen manages 30-40+ fps
