Are you looking to hit a good price-performance ratio, or do you just want a high performer, or do you just want to spend large amounts of money on your e-peen?

Wow, lots of salt in this topic. Weird. Normally, topics asking for builds get several build suggestions in the first few replies and then die quietly. Did I miss something?

You'd be better off spending ~$1250 on a new rig every 4 years than spending ~$5k once over 16 years.

If you just want to show off, get a MSI GT73 or GT83 after the mobile GTX 1080 launches.

Tc, with a $5,000+ budget you should consider going or an ssd-only build. Why bother with hdd's when you can afford high capacity ssd's?

With a fully custom liquid cooling loop. And change the HDD to an SSD.

The loop should be around 1100. At least the parts I wanted for mine.

This is the build I'm doing next except for SLI titan or 1080 TI when they're out.
