Please don't flame me, but I'm an Oblivion vet playing Morrowind(which I like alot btw)*shrinks back in fear*

My question is whether or not it is possible to apply poisons to weapons as in Oblivion. I am able to create potions with negative effects, but they only hurt myself.

I have also seen enchanted "poison" blades, but they have limited charges.

If you cannot poison weapons and there is no sneak attack (or is there?), is it possible to make a successful assassin character at lower levels?

You can't posion your weapons with a potion. Negative effects in potions will always affect you. To sneak attack someone, you need to crouch, and sneak up behind them without them notcing you, if you do it correctly you'll get a little box saying Critical Damage. It can be....frustrating, however, espically at low levels.

There is a sneak attack, but it does not upgrade in damage as it did in Oblivion. Same principle; crouch, an icon appears to show you are hidden, you hit for extra damage (Forgot how much.).

And no, poisons cannot be applied to weapons. In general, I'd say making an assassin is difficult at first because the combat makes it so you won't make every shot at the start. But once you level up, get some chameleon enchantments, etc, the game should become a breeze. NPCs are for the most part static. They may wander along a 5 foot path, but that's it.

I want to say it's x4 damage, but I'm not 100% on that

You can enchant weapons with "Cast When Strikes" poison damage, as long as you already know a poison spell.

id buy a soultrap spell and a few soul gems and keep them with you and use your poision blade, get the blade with enchanted poision, wait a few seconds, cast soultrap(works only on creatures),then after the battle recharge your blade(you could try to get azuras star,as you'd probably know is a reuseable soulgem)

Poison is essentially the same as other damage spells, such as fire and such.
