Just a thought, probably the 300000000th person to think it, but the Last Giant is the only giant besides the Giant Lord tat we see haveing the body type of tall and lanky, the rest are much shorter and bulkier. Also, their movesets are basically the same, minus the sword for the Last Giant. What do you guys think for the possibility of the Last Giant being a decrepit form of the Giant Lord?

Soul of the surviving giant, who was bound
below the Forest of Giants.
The lord of the Giants, who had brought wreck
and ruin to the entire kingdom was said to have
been felled by an unknown warrior.
His beaten and broken remains were then dragged
beneath the stronghold, where he was sealed away.
Use the special soul of the Last Giant to acquire
numerous souls, or to create something of
great worth.

Yes, he is the Giant Lord.
Praise the Sun.

Yeah, it's why he gets so crazy upset when you walk into the room, you've defeated him before. Probably one of the best design points of the game.

It was never confirmed. It doesn't really make sense that you can go back in time and kill him, then kill him again in the present. But it seems stupid for them not to have the Last Giant be the Giant Lord

Just believe what you want for the lore in a Souls game

Actually, the description was heavily changed from Vanilla Souls 2 in order to allow players connect the dots that they are one and the same. The player is the unknown warrior that defeats the Giant Lord. Vendricks army then locks him away to rot. Ages later, you arrive and the "last giant" flips into a rage in order to get revenge. It's pretty much spelled out for you now

It's because you don't kill him and merely beat him to the point he can no longer continue, which leaves him with a fraction of his former powerful soul.
Still. Not. Bitten.

Well, it may have been more obvious than I thought, but its still a really cool concept for the first boss in the game to technically be the second time youve fought that enemy
