So, I've come up with another way to execute the Martial Training 5 strategy from my old thread:

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/835980-disgaea-5-alliance-of-vengeance/78862256

Not necessarily better, but an alternative:
You still need 3 characters with prinny instructor from Valvatorez in the prinny squad. Place your thrower in it.
You need 2 characters with the nine-tails geo damage evility. You can use two fixed ones, but it's faster to get nine-tails maxed as the first evility on the thrower, and give it to them.
You need a monster with a throw of 9. This should be your other character with geo damage. You can use a lot of monsters with high throw, but the easiest would probably be Drumdawn or a bear (thanks to mewmeister for pointing out the bear as a possibility). You can get them to 9 throw via chara world, or get 2 stars in wrestler and get the powered throw evility.

With this, you don't have to get high movement on every new character you want to subclass, but can simply get them geo damage (alternatively, do this after starting with a second support with geo damage the first time), place them in the prinny squad where the instructors are hanging out, and when going in battle, place the monster unit like this, two panels from the front-right lucky board:https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/6/6/5/AASZLFAAB03J.jpg
then have the character that is grinding subclasses lift said lucky board (needs 5 movement to get there, but that should be no problem at all), and bounce it off the monster:https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/6/6/6/AASZLFAAB03K.jpg
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/6/6/7/AASZLFAAB03L.jpg
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/6/6/8/AASZLFAAB03M.jpg
this will bounce it directly on the the geo symbol, destroying it, and with 2 geo damage units, the resulting chain reaction will kill all the lucky boards. The thrower will get class experience from the destroyed geo symbol. For more details, you can check the previous thread.

Seems pretty complicated but it could be worth the setup. I used the prinny hat method but i used like seven chars with instructor on them so I could so MT4 carnage at 1 star and max a class per run.

Tips for prinny hat method - make SURE you have prinny hat evility on the character you are training before you spend half an hour wondering why you aren’t gaining very much class exp (I just did this, DOH!)

To me the best method I found is to tower attack 5 characters + 4 magichanged monsters, using Trash Pickup evility to kill a geo symbol on a R40 leveled item, then gency out.

You max out 9 characters in one go.

This is interesting however, especially early on without many stats/resources.

There is a far easier setup.
1. Put Valvatorez in the Prinny Squad along with 8 other random characters.
2. Equip all 9 characters with the Prinny Instructor.
3. Put whatever character you want to level up subclasses with in the final slot of the Prinny Squad.
4. Do C.Tournament Proof of Existence stage at enemy strength 20

It will take usually 1 run to completely max a subclass with a few requiring 2 times. Using the lucky boards seems to be the worst way to raise subclass.

Bouncing an enemy onto a Geo Symbol is faster/easier than killing 9 spread out enemies (3x3 skills only hit 4 of them at once) and has no stat requirement. It's essentially the Carnage IW method without the IW RNG but with slightly more preparation.

Still an interesting map suggestion though - those enemies are indeed high level by non-Carnage standards. Btw, you should only need 7 Prinny Instructors for that, at least for class proficiency purposes.

I recommend 4-5 prinny intructors though. Each instructor suffer from diminishing returns. Better to level many characters on one go.

They key thing is to pass all classes in one blow, and two for Sage/Horseman/Pirate.

Pirate, Sage, and Dark Knight are the hardest. Horseman is the next difficulty down (part of the same difficulty tier as Ninja) and is one of the subclasses you should be aiming to master in a single kill.

Yeah, thanks for the correction, but you get the idea.
