No.
Formerly a panda, formerly a carnivore. Now just a guy without a catch phrase.

You think a company that makes fun of gay people would be okay with letting their poster boy engage in same sex relationships?

Do you mean the Shinjuku guys? Well, yeah, it can be kinda offending (if you want to get offended, that is) but it's not like Atlus outright hates gay people. We had an actually good gay character in Persona 2, back when SJW didn't really exist and characters were, err, characters and not a mark on the checklist. Also, Lala-chan and Erica from Catherine.

Not really, but people had been making vague jokes and I wanted to confirm without diving into spoiler territory.

They at the very least don't respect gay people. Otherwise they wouldn't have put gay stereotypes into their games to be laughed at. Atlus ain't the same as they were in 2 and those other two were only there so they could look good. Same way they put p3mc into Q2 so they didn't look like the complete sexists they are

Lala is a well represented trans character.
Aigis is a well represented bi character.
In Catherine Full Body, Rin outright says that love is love and that gender doesn't matter. Vincent can enter a gay relationship with Rin and marry him.
Yosuke originally had a gay romance route planned that was cut late into development (probably because Atlus's marketing team was afraid of losing sales over it, remember that this was Japan in 2008- A much different time from now), but his dialogue is still FULL of subtext implying that he's both gay and romantically interested in Yu.

Yeah, sure, they don't handle EVERYTHING well but to say the devs hate gay people is completely and utterly ludicrous.
