Planning on getting the dlc this week and I was wondering how long it takes to get it.

Depends on your skill level. Not really sure what to say since you don't want any spoilers but it could take you a few hours or 15 minutes.

It is near the last boss of the dlc, by the first boss, or somewhere inbetween

The first boss drops it but you can miss it if you're not careful.

The first boss is also pretty damn difficult, which is why it depends on skill. If you attempt to low level it you will likely need to summon help.

If its on a ng then id say its pretty easy. Attempting to get to the boss tho is a diff story. Especially with a low lvl char.

Earliest you can attempt it is right after it becomes night so youd be around lvl 25-35 maybe unless you grinded.

It is a minimum of 3 bosses.

You'd get it after the 3rd.

That'll be quite a haul for a new character though, unless you're really good at not being hit.

You need to kill Vicar, and then go through the first area of the dlc and kill the first boss which is hell in itself.

So depends on you

He's really not bad if you're levelled properly and have a decently upgraded weapon.

I just started it last night on my NG+ character who is level 120. There are two opportunities to summon NPC's right before the boss and they can make the boss almost trivial. As soon as the boss is done, slam your weapon against the head on the floor next to the lamp, and the sword is yours.
