B8 Movie Club Topic 1 - subtitle

Hey everyone! Will look for the movie elsewhere today and watch it maybe tomorrow.

I'm not really a movie buff but I do like to check out well-acclaimed movies.
Not in any particular order
1. Hot Fuzz
2. Cabin in the Woods
3. Enchanted
4. Tokyo Godfathers
5. Inception
6. Driving Miss Daisy
7. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
8. Whiplash
9. The Mist
10. Coco

I don't have a definitive list on hand but here are some movies i think are VERY cool

i don't know how many of you have access to kanopy/hoopla for streaming but i think it's great. i was kind of blown away when i first found out about it because there was a bunch of stuff on my watchlist they had available. all you need to access it is a library card if your library carries it.

Our first movie is Mother (2009) directed by Bong Joon-ho.

Mother (2009)

This movie goes from "wow, these guys are acting like anime characters" to "are you serious, does the Korean "justice" system work like that" and doesn't even blink. It doesn't even really use punctuation..........

What's the due date for Mother?

There's no strict "due date" but tentative schedule is new movie decided some time on Friday.

Is there anyone here besides Raka who is not in North America? want to make sure our time zones aren't too different when I talk generally about that

I've got a definite top 5, but I haven't decided beyond that.
