Miles Edgeworth
Miles Edgeworth (Ace Attorney)
Ace Attorney - as a series - can sneak up on you with the quality of courtroom drama it produces. While it may not be the most subtle approach, there is a lot of nuance to each character, and peeling back their outer shells reveals unique, interesting motives beneath. Miles is especially interesting, serving as an antagonist and protagonist. All in all, one of the more interesting characters in a quiet, little series.

Vegeta
Vegeta (Dragon Ball)
Dragon Ball is godawful. Boring, pedantic, overextended. I watched DBZ from its start through the Trunks saga on Toonami when I was young, and I never really could figure out why I was still watching. Nothing happened. Ever. Vegeta, however, was one of the more interesting characters on the show; his demeanor was consistently at odds with the world around him, and I enjoyed his turn from villain to anti-hero. The rest of the show, however, was plodding and awful.

There's something devastatingly sexy about a wily, savvy politician who knows both how to control a planet and also how to dress themselves exquisitely. Avasarala has a skeptical mind and a great capacity for reason, and given her long political lineage, she clearly has been both born and bred for the role she has. Even so, she never comes across as so overqualified as to make her plotlines have no stakes. She fights and scraps in her own way, and I admire her for it.

Black Mask (Roman Sionis) (DC Comics)

Very interesting take on VECTOR, I can't say I disagree even if RE is my favorite series and I still love the lore regardless. But then, story isn't really the primary reason I love the series anyway.
