This is pure culture war. Just the left flexing their power. Unbelievably sad and pathetic.

Fun stat I noticed, since I was doubting starting Kuemper (2nd of a road back-to-back tonight), did, and had no regrets.

Both last night and tonight, the Coyotes:
-Had road games against top teams (Capitals and Blues)
-Both games went to shootouts
-In both shootouts, the Blues and Caps shooters missed; and the Coyotes shooters both scored
-The Coyotes shooters were the same & in the same order both nights (Nick Schmaltz first, Conor Garland second)

Only difference being Raanta last night, Kuemper tonight. Just thought that was funny. Kuemper is so damn good.

Two assists and a goal for Strome tonight. Better not bench him, Martin!

So...I keep looking up the Fenton trades point wise, and it's really weird in retrospect.

Granlund (3-2=5) v. Fiala (3-3=6)
Nino (2-5=7) v. Rask (1-2=3)
Coyle (2-5=7) v. Donato (1-1=2)

It's not any wonder the Wild are worse. But unless I'm missing some sort of eye test, none of the former players are lighting s*** up either like you'd kinda expect. I suppose it's a good thing they got Fenton out of dodge quickly, but it's pretty sad to find out these "beloved favorites" in the "young core" were just crap. I guess I should be grateful a s***ty GM did the one thing the Wild needed: uncork the bottle and let the s*** run free. Leipold certainly kept hyping up the vision, but it's certainly biting them in the ass now, and very hard.

Granlund/Fiala is one of those trades that somehow, both teams lost. Each player is worse on their new team and both teams are worse for having made the deal.

Coyle/Donato is the bad one for the Wild there. Coyle isn't putting up a ton of points, but he's getting quality time on a team much better than the Wild. If Boston didn't stack their top line, he'd be chipping in a lot more points, but as it stands now, they don't need him to do that (Minnesota, of course, did/would need him to do that)

The issue is (like everyone on the Wild), Coyle was never consistent in production. As you said, they needed that.
