um. every time i listen to this the song leaves my brain. it just doesnt exist??? dunno. funny sunsoft follin sounds. phrase at 0:24 is very nice, does it twice (up octave), then incorporates sunsofollint arps even more and wacks out. then all the elemnts are just reused. hmm
yeah, this is music.toobad that’s all it is. it has potential energy but no activation energy

makes u really want to go out and commit HEROIC ADVENTs. very epic song that makes me me reminded of literally a movie. 1:52 is my favorite part. minor 6th too good. also like the doubling(? when they play the note at double time) on the string part that happens sometinmes
any way epic games music that is verty good is this, even if pyre sword only nominated decisive battles

i hate that i like this so much. like this song is like objectively bad . but it sounds really good and is very fun, it’s making me question my music taste
uhhh anyway this is the kind of song that wounld have a instrumental version in the karaoke machine in the bar that is song number 785 and it’s the 80s. youcan tell because of all the orchestra hits and trancy dancey ness
this is the kind of song you KNOW without even look=ing that there are 134878521 different haruhi suzumiya and toradora AMVs of this song on youtube from 2008
i guess what i am trying to say is it evokes fake nostalgia? like the nostalgia you get from hearing things that sound like things but youve never heard them before.
pretty sonbg

Song: Sophisticated Fight
Game/Album: Sora no Kiseki Super Arrange
Original Track: Sophisticated Fight - Sora No Kiseki FC
Composer: Wataru Ishibari
Arranger: Yukihiro Jindo
Nominator: NFUN
Score: 68 (4/4.6/1/4)

ok so. things about this song that will happen four times: i am a fan of the melody. its cool and nice and memorable and doesnt stale too easily. , and this version actually i think makes it better because, JAZZ, and solos
problem that this has is that it sounds really muddy with the instruments they use. like i feel this is meant to sound like its played live but since its not it sounds too fake and put-together to realy drive any meaning to the song. kinda also takes away from the soloishness jazzy of it. especially hate the sequenced saxophone and brass instruments they just sound ugly

Song: Title
Game: Lotus III: The Ultimate Challenge
Composer: Patrick Phelan
Nominator: rwlh
Score: 68 (1.4/4.6/2.6/5)
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdRNN9idJ0g

music for when you are playing xevious in the 80s (walking arpeggios with orchestra hits)
the energy of this song is really fun; ubpeat drum pattern with a geometry dash-like melody line (kind of i guess that is what i am hearing) but also kinda follin-y. this sounds like a song for the title screen of an fps and then in the game there is only ambience and you are sad but also happy because now you can hear the enemy (ive never played an fps)
my favorite part is 2:02 because 16th note run is musically tasty

Song: Decisive Battle (N)
Game: Pokémon Black/White
Composer: Junichi Masuda
Nominator: pyresword
Score: 68 (2/3.2/4.4/4)
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28caQQxNhA4

wow….i am feeling N decisive haha get it
this song is like…taking the essences of a pokemon battle theme and then spreading them out and then spreading them out some more and then adding clock sounds to emphasize how spread out it is and then also make it angry save the world music. yep thats how they made it probably but also adding elements of n’s musical motifes
this energy…it really feels intense and “decisive”. if i was rating this song on how decisive it sounds, it would get an 8/10. oh look i did do thaat category nice um but i dont really like this that much out of context besides the intro which is as the kids say ‘pog”. the classic pokemon theme of notes being used and then anticipation created when the incorrect amt of time between the phrases of that melody are used...it’s really delicious
