Well, I think the idea was supposed to be the Jurist System would pave the way for a better court system and everything would improve from there. It was left open on purpose.

anime and manga do that sort of thing all the time and it's aggravating

Phoenix: And how do you propose he hid a person inside one of those cases?!
Edgeworth: Hmph. Have you forgotten that we saw just such a thing the other day? At your own daughter's magic show, she fit a grown person into a small box.
Phoenix: Oh, yeah... (Way to ruin the memory of a good day!)

although it kinda bothers me that they never draw attention to the fact that the killer's heart was still beating after Athena stabbed him which meant it couldn't have been her mom because the autopsy report says that Metis died instantly after being stabbed, which meant her heart would've stopped beating immediately

Blackquill's testimony is so good. It's not often you see someone shut down Edgeworth's argument so efficiently.

The noise going up on Blackquill's Mood Matrix is a "whoa" moment

His testimony is pretty tough, too, since they make you choose between whether the contradiction is in the evidence or in his emotions.

yeah, Blackquill's testimony is like, one of the only ones in the new trilogy that kind of feels like an old trilogy testimony imo

I really wish someone (Edgeworth in particular) had drawn a parallel between DL-6 and UR-1 at some point.

The uses of the mood matrix in 5-5 are great honestly. It's where the mechanic graduates from "this game's new gameplay gimmick" to "oooh, that's why this is in the game"

Hmm, they never do, do they? On one hand I kind of agree with you, on the other hand it means I didn't have to deal with suspending my disbelief over AA autopsy reports including near-psychic details again.

This is a good way of putting it. Exactly how I felt
