Oh my god. Imagine not appreciating a game for what it is lol. At least appreciate the STORY?

Although a lot of TC’s points are resolved in grounded mode, he does make some valid points.

Enemy AI is not great, even on grounded. Human enemies still run straight for you. Stalkers arguably have the best AI.

The silent choking is kind of stupid but unfortunately necessary. On grounded, you get very little ammo so early game is either sneaking around or choking out enemies one by one. If enemies react to you choking out a guy by sound, game would be much harder and the game doesn’t offer many stealth options to combat a harder mode (no knocking, hiding in boxes, distractions are limited).

Yes there is some time spent looking for loot since it’s very scarce on grounded. If you know where to look, it’s not too bad, more sucks because you still don’t have much of an arsenal.

If TC wanted a better “game” in terms of gameplay, I would recommend Resident Evil 4. The concept is basically the same (escorting a young girl) but the enemies are more diverse, shot location has a much bigger impact, no sneaking, no listen mode, and no real scavenging (most loot and items are pretty easy to find). It’s also a great game with proper I-frames, crowd control options, and various weapons. RE4’s protagonist also can take multiple hits with healing but that’s the only complaint TC may find. It’s also a PS2/Wii game available on PS4 so can be found for cheap. This is a game of the generation game.

The two main characters (and others like Tess) are evil, I think that's what my main problem with the game is. At least you get to see their elaborate death animations with all the sane humans on the hunt for them.
