"Completing a greater rift" always meant completing it within 15mins. Otherwise whats complete about it if u run out of time ...

I was thinking the same thing, at first, but then realized that completing the rift within the time limit is listed as a "Bonus" objective. As long as the guardian gets killed, the rift is officially complete. Though personally I still consider it a failure if it ends up taking that long.

Well then, does it mean primals are added to the pool of possible drops now or not ?

If you don't finish on time you can't upgrade gems and a new higher level won't appear in the list, if level you tried was the current top.

That's all I've noticed for difference.
Although I also feel like I "failed" if I don't make the timer. :)

Edit: I'm "stuck" on GR68 (not the Seasonal) at the moment because I can't quite finish it in the time limit yet. :P

do you have to solo a great rift to get primals, and ancient primals?

Have to solo a GR-70 to open the chance for them to drop.

Ill add: have to beat GR70 SOLO (follower is allowed), then primals are "added" to the possible future drops and they can drop anywhere, anytime, solo or not solo.

I'm confused as to how so many people do not understand these patch notes.

Me too brother, me too. Not to sound like the old man, but most kids today don't read anything.

You don't sound like an old man, you sound sensible. It annoys me that people won't take the time to read simple instruction. 'Duuurrrrr...TL/DR'. Anything more than two paragraphs is headache-inducing for these commoners nowadays.

"Fixed an issue where Greater Rift 70 first-time completion Primal drops were occurring for players even if they did not succeed at the 15-minute completion time"

Turns out it was a "bug."

They didnt fix any issue. The primal dropped just as it was supposed to. They now have changed it and changed the wording to match.
