Yeah just wanted some tips from the masters.

Im going two hander as i find that most fun. I completed on hard allready and did everything in the game. All dragons, so i have some nice schematics.

I want it to be easy so dont care if its cheesing, just want trophy as its my only one for plat.

I had alot of trouble qith varric in my last game, he was the worst and died so quickly everytime. Though i know that's just because i don't know how to use him

then dont do it

Its there to be a challenge and not a cakewalk.
The night brims with defiled scum, and is permeated by their rotten stench.
Just think. Now you're all set to hunt and kill to your heart's content.

It isn't a challenge though

I just did it and used the builds from this guide
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/718650-dragon-age-inquisition/faqs/71042
It's a bit out of date but the skills all work very well.

Once you get past the pride demon at the start the rest should be cake if you have the tier 4 armors and weapons. Just collect resources build some strong weapons and armors and breeze through most of the game.

I didnt realise there were tier 4 ? Was that added in dlc by any chance ? Thankfully i have loads of schematics from my hard playthrough where i did absolutely everything. I havnt any tier 4 though only tier 3

Yeah pride demon was a f***er, he had a one hit kill move that made me rage, only died like 3 times

I dont have the mats to craft anything atm either

tier 4 is indeed dlc.
https://dragonage.fandom.com/wiki/The_Skin_That_Shields_Schematic
heavy armor that can be equipped on any class regardless of restrictions.

https://dragonage.fandom.com/wiki/Revered_Defender_Maul_Schematic
https://dragonage.fandom.com/wiki/Hakkon%27s_Valor_Schematic

Get one of these and wreck s***.

Since you're willing to cheese you don't have to collect that many resources. Just dupe the armor and weapons that you make and beat the game easily

Cheers will check that out. Much appreciated, something ive allways wondered if light armour is worse than say medium, why bother equipping mages with light armour ? Im guessing light armour will have mage specific stats ?

Mages cant wear heavy arnour but can wear medium

When i said im willing to cheese i really meant like become overpowered with smart builds and stuff, im not and never have or will use duping or anything that is blatent cheating.

You must not have been paying very close attention while playing...

Most of the medium armors say this "Rogue only"

So unless you use one of the DLC armors that has no restrictions or use crafting materials that enable no restrictions your mages won't be able to wear medium armor.

One frustration early game on Nightmare is how little damage a Warrior class does. Really for the first half of the game you won’t like your damage output until you can get the Reaver specialization and some Tier 3 gear. The enemies are just more beefy on Nightmare, and archers and mages hurt. Not gonna lie, the game isn’t going to feel easy on Nightmare playing Warrior compared to Rogue or Mage, at least not early on.

First thing, abuse the enemy pathing in the game. They all have a set path and a certain distance they can go to follow you before they turn around and go back to a starting location. This is the main way to cheese stuff. Use an archer or mage in your party to pull melee mobs from afar while everyone else is on Hold. Control Varric or Sera to pick mobs off at a distance to get rid of pesky mages and archers who can destroy the party. Then go in with your Warrior and Cassandra to mop up the rest.

Doing the battles at Haven is noticeably easier at levels 9-11 than any lower.

The Tier 4 gear is mainly because of the Tier 4 materials used. Jaws of Haakon DLC has Tier 4 materials, if you go there at level 16ish do the first Rift closest to the starting camp. It’s hard but if you get it, don’t pick up all the loot, leave one thing in the pile. After this you can repeatedly go back to the Haakon area and re-loot the same spot, as long as you leave something in the pile. This also works with the treasure chests in the game, including the ones at Haven, just leave one thing in them.

Level 16 is the lowest level for The Descent DLC, I like to do it then because of the gear which is wearable at 17. The final boss can be cheesed with a mage. Controlling a mage, turn right at the start of the fight and walk off the edge of the platform. The game will respawn your mage right at the edge, don’t move from this spot and just kill the boss with the mage, who should be safe from the ground damage.

If you just want the trophy for the story and nothing else, plan on Haven at levels 9-11, the Winter Palace at 11-13, Crestwood level 11-14, Adament/Fade at level 15 and final boss at level 17. That’s for a relatively comfortable run. I can give you some ideas on free gear or easy harvests if you want any.
