I know there is Carl Sims and ModTheSims which have pretty active forums. Gamefaqs doesn't really qualify because low traffic. TSR has forums but no one posts on them. I know the main forums are harsh with their restrictions but the biggest fault there is no editing options. Is there any forum gathering for TS4 besides those?

BEST TS4 FORUMS I HAVE FOUND SO FAR:

Carl - http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com

MTS - http://modthesims.info/fd.php?f=669

Those are pretty much all of them. Beyond that I would imagine Tumblr being another location, but that's mostly for those who actually follow the modder in question rather than more of a proper community. But for the most part the only places that really matter are MTS, Carl's and the official forum.

I forgot to say English speaking. There are a lot of non-English forums. I have not post to this forum yet so I don't know how good it is:

Found another TS4 forum. It is where mod creators hang out and looks to be highly moderated. It is an active forum:

The Sims Forums. Although it looks The Sims 4 themed, it's actually focused on all four games.

You are right, StickFinures720, the main EA forums are still being used. The game itself will link you to those if you own the game and run it. Calling it the community. But those are the most awful made forums I have ever used. You cannot edit your posts so be careful what you say. EA has an annoying profanity filter auto moderator that is so inclusive you can barely type non-curse words without them being replaced by the word "plum." You have to make a gazillion posts before you are allowed to start threads. I was told you could edit then also but what is the point by then? And there is no shutting the plum filter off ever which would drive me insane. This is an adult game with adult themes and they have a preschool filter on their site? Some people are not bothered but I cannot stand profanity filters.

Nother is reddit so stinking obvious in the land of forums I forgot to mention them but should have:

Considering The Sims as a whole as an "adult" game is subjective. Even with its faults, it comes off as one of the more civilised forum sites.

The game is rated T or the equivalent in almost all countries where it is sold. The official forums have always been heavily moderated because they are full of kids.

Mod the Sims used to have a great community but the traffic is a fraction of what it used to be for Sims 2 and 3. People seem to have scattered to blogs, tumblers and utube, or just given up on Sims 4 altogether.
