By this I mean pre-nerf Yogg, current Archivist Elysiana, Tess, hero card Dr Boom to a degree, Deathstalker Rexxar, Scroll of Wonders, and so forth. Just pure nuke-the-world-mutually-assured-destruction type stuff.

What bothers me is when they try to pretend RNG can be controlled. Top deck Animal Companion getting a hail mary Huffer is dumb. Stonehill Defender getting Tarim in Odd Paladin was dumb. You get the idea.

I finally figured out my big problem with this game. The RNG I actually like is what everyone always complains about on Reddit until nerfs happen. Archivist, a card I love and was my most hyped card of the set, is probably going to get murdered. There was no reason to kill Yogg, but it went off in one tournament and everyone went insane.

Yet the RNG I hate is what people defend for some reason. I don't get it. Poor Archivist. It's such a fun card but I'm pretty sure it's getting a 10 mana CMC and a reduced number of discovers before long :'(

Well that makes sense. You seem to like the super silly RNG that has a million different possibilities. Animal Companion doesn't bother me, because it is a 33% chance and you can play around the different possibilities in a lot of circumstances. There is no gameplay around something like Yogg or Archivist. It is just sheer luck. To each their own though. I can see why you like what you like. I personally loved Yogg.

Yogg not being reverted for Wild is really dumb, too. It’s a format 6 people play.

And yet they'll make a nerf that we've been asking for for months(Naga/Giants), ones that have never been on anyone's radar but would somehow be "broken" because of new cards(Dreadsteed/Shadowbomber), ones that protect their newly released cards(Aviana/Psychmelon), or just random because of this new arena mode(Rogues/Tri-class cards).

The point I'm trying to make is that a lot of people play Wild and Blizzard occasionally makes changes that affect us. As much as I loved cards like old Yogg, they're not going to change it back for valid reasons. They don't revert nerfs except for Tess so just be happy you have that one victory.

Let's be honest, this one was more of a bug fix than a nerf.

I agree, but the fact remains that it wasn't a problem until it was a problem for one of their "main" modes. And people are legit upset about it to the point where I read someone is going buy ad space on Reddit to protest like they did Naga Sea Witch.

I kind of agree. Your opponent having all 4/4 board clears within his top 10 cards when you're playing aggro.....or you having 21 damage on board and somehow your opponent top decks the only thing that can save them. That's really frustrating.

But RNG is critical because otherwise it's basically single player or it becomes boring like Chess where there is 0 RNG.

Speaking of total RNG f***ery, I was just in a near-guaranteed loss scenario but I had Zarog’s Crown from Togwaggle in my hand. I played it...discovered Malygos. Two Eviscerates in hand for 28 damage, I needed 26 for lethal lmao
