Coming back from a hiatus, I just can't seem to do it. My highest overall was 7, and even then that's not great.

Any tips or so you guys may have to increase the wins? I've seen a guide but it hasn't helped yet.

What class have you been picking?

It's usually pretty easy to get 8+ wins with Mage and Rogue and 7+ with Priest now.

Watch some arena streamers like grinning goat, hafu, ratsmah, and kripp. You'll learn a lot from them and you'll get better. That's what happened to me.

Go watch arena specialists. There is absolutely something fundamentally wrong with your play if you can not get past 3 wins.

One winner, one loser. Three loses remove a player.

Can you count to 4?

No.

Most players most of the time will statistically average out to approximately 3-3.

Arena has gotten significantly more aggressive (compared with Arena in previous expansions).
The current pack bonus (Higher chance to draft from a specific set) is on MSoG.
This allows a number of classes access to an array of excellent commons, either providing tempo, or board clears.
E.g. Warlock has Abyssal Enforcer on 7 (Deal 3 to everything + 6/6 body)

Paladin can afford to play extremely aggressively if they are lucky to pull Grimestreet Outfitters (and other enablers) where they can afford to play a turn-off curve (though in the event of Smugglers Run -> Entirely on curve from turn 2 onwards) but continually slowly throw down more and more above curve minions.
It's completely capable of exploiting poor mulligans and early draws - especially against the decks with little access to board clears.

Priest got Talon and Songstealer, which are both solid stat minions in their respective costs, and come with useful effects.

Mage remains as irritating as ever, with fewer commons making a difference (though Kabal Lackey is a fine 1 drop to enhance the choice of picking a secret), but a number of rares adding to their already substantial pool particularly potion of polymorph and Volcanic potion.

Warlock as mentioned get Abyssal enforcer, but also get Blastcrystal Potion for 'No questions asked' single target removal which they desperately lacked.
Fel fire potion is also available in the rare slot too.

Between these class tools, and the number of well costed minions (detailed below) occupying the common slot means it so that it is very unlikely that a good curve would not be found during the drafting process.

Bartender
Hired Gun
Hozen Healer
Naga Corsair
Streetwise Investigator
Big time Racketeer

If you're struggling to get past 3 wins, it's highly advisable, as others have stated, to watch Arena streamers.
They should help explain how different match-ups and deck constructions (of both your drafts and the opponents) should dictate a certain playstyle, and most importantly, knowing when to fight for the board, and when to just go face.

If in doubt. It's preferable, in my opinion, to draft a slightly lower than normal curve, unless the best option is leagues better above the others, and you don't have too much of it already: E.g. Kracken over Wisp and some really s*** common for example.
It should help that if you can just play on curve, (and don't play excessively into board clears) you should be able to snowball to a win.

You know you could just quote me. Seeing as you spent the time saying exactly the same thing... just later...

Um..... No. The best players in arena are averaging 7, 8, 9 wins per run.

Arena has an extremely high skill cap compared to constructed. And that's with everyone and their grandmother using Heartharena to tell them how to build good decks.

If you can't get past 3 wins, it means you are playing like ass. Period.

You don't understand how to mulligan. You don't understand how to use your hero power. You don't understand how to play around board clears. You don't understand risk vs. reward. You don't understand when yo trade or when to go face.

Your play is ass.

Keep an eye on your record too.

If I start a run 0-2, I never play around cards like flamestrike for the remainder of the run.
