I noticed there is a trophy for "Mickey revived Oswald while playing co-op". Any way to do this solo?

Yes. Check out your Vita's Internet Site for full directions on adding additional controllers. Your support site came with your Vita, depending what part of the world you are in. (UK posts appear here, too.)

I believe you can play single-player, alone in your living room, without any WiFi internet connection, and still get the two Challenge Trophies that call for co-op.
You do need a second controller for the Vita or PS3, to play split-screen.

For the "CLEAR!" challenge, on a remote part of Mean Street, away from other characters, turn on a second controller. Spray thinner on Oswald, until he is a puddle, then, immediately paint him to revive him. There is an announcement that you have completed the "CLEAR" challenge.

In the castle area there is the "Oswald's New Groove". It can be done, alone, as long as you have a second controller on. You move Mickey a bit, then move Oswald. Oswald cannot spray paint or thinner, so you can get along without him, or put the second remote on the floor and let Oswald or Mickey get a boost up.
Mickey can double-jump areas, without using Oswald to helicopter.

If you do not know how to cross-platform or add other controllers, go to the linked site for information, or to talk with an official agent

Everything posted by Katydiddd in this topic was irrelevant to the question.

1. Using Vita as a controller for the PS3, doesn't help you get a second player on a Vita Game.

2. Playing PS3 games remotely on the Vita does not help you get a second player on a Vita Game.

3. Cross Play (moving saves from one platform to the other) does not help you get a second player on a Vita game.

In short the only way to get a second player in the game is to have a second Vita with the game on it.

There is an updater for the Vita.
If you go to the Vita Support Site, which I posted, a dialogue box will pop up so you can talk with a real agent, one-on-one.

The site says that when you buy a Vita game, and contact them about multi-player co-op, they will send you a game disk that can only be used on ONE PS3. Then, that one PS3 and the Vita will do the cross-controller bit.

The official forum is at
http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-Vita-Support/bd-p/24854

You do not need to connect with anything outside your own living room to actually get the two co-op trophies.

Which site says that they will send you a disc so the PS3 player can be co-op?

None of the other links you have posted say that.
