Wow, this game is awesome. It's been a long time since I've played an Infamous game. I played the two on PS3, and though I did enjoy them, the story or anything didn't really stick with me.

First impression was bad with the game starting with a controller gimmick. I've gotten use to it now and the spray painting actually works quite well. I don't know if there's an option to turn it off, which I may look into later, but for now it's kind of fun and works surprisingly well.

Main issue with the game thus far is that it's so dark. The clouds and the evening sunset are look nice, but it results in a lot of areas being unusually dark. I'm not sure what this technique is called, when the camera adjusts between light and dark areas, but it's frustrating and too frequent.

Also find the camera to be a bit wonky when it comes to close quarters combat.

Some issues so far but I'm enjoying the game immensely in the first couple hours. It's fun to play. Haven't played this kind of game for a while with all the collectible and such, and I'm enjoying collecting shards and destroying cameras and taking out drug dealers.

Hero- wise, I'm healing civilians and eliminating bad guys. When baddies surrender I just finish them off. You don't get to shoot me, then surrender and then everything is ok. You're a bad guy, you're done. And I enjoy kicking them when they're down.

Powers seem cool so far. I'm mostly using the melee chain and the R2 charge. I find the normal shooting attack to be ineffective.

Looking forward to playing more of this one. Also looking forward to playing Last Light.

Been playing quite a bit. Haven't had much time to sit down and talk about it at all. Still intend to do this.

Woo, been a long time since I played this one.

First played on my cousin's PS4 half a year before I got my own console. I had the CE for Second Son already at the time lol

It's a good game, not as memorable as the other two inFamous games for me. My main gripe is it's a very short game. As in, you can platinum it in a single day! It takes about eight hours to 100% either side so a one day platinum is very possible.

I start with my disappointments first. Side mission variety has gone down, because of that taking over areas feels very formulaic and by the book. Depth of powers is lesser, no special R2 like iF1, and the final power felt a bit underwhelming. Story and writing I didn't like as much as the first to iF games, the story was very mweh and the writing for the characters wasn't great. Eugene is played as the "haha geek gamer", err yeah we're playing a video game thanks.

Things I liked, graphically it's a joy to look at, and the powers are fun to use. I like that they have little things each specialises well in, I really like Video's use of stealth. Also Delsin and Reggie have some fun interactions, really liked the time I had with them.

Of the three it's my least favourite but it's a good game regardless. Just disappointing given what we had in inFamous 2, Second Son felt like such a step back.

I finished it today. Have a lot of thoughts I'd like to put down tomorrow.

Would love to know how much time I put into it if PS4 had some kind of gameplay timer.

Wanted to talk about this as I played it but instead of coming here and talking about, I just wanted to play it instead.

Concerning the ending, I just want to say how baffling and silly it all seemed, to have gone through everything Delsin had gone through - literally killing hundreds and hundreds of DUP, fighting Fetch, Fighting Eugine and the other guy, gaining all these powers, everything... and all my play time... I probably played for over 15 hours... and then it was all for the sake of trying to heal that old lady. It was goofy to return back to that. Naturally over my extended play time I'd completely forgotten about that original introduction story line.

That story line somewhat lost me.

The bad karma ending is hilarious, I love how it plays out.

But yea the whole point of Delsin's "quest" was to heal his "family" after the events at the start of the game. Since you only really see them at the start and they don't get brought up a lot in the story, it feels weird when you go back to it at the end.

I definitely dislike the gimmick involving the controller. I wish they would have just left the select button. I like the regular r2 attack. Get them in the head and you can either subdue them or subdue them automatically. This also can regain some health with the right upgrade.

I take the karma thing seriously. I play as a hero, but realistically I would not have outed myself as a conduit at the beginning. The decision is just stupid given what is known about the DUP. It's more of a gimmick than a serious moral choice.
