4 questions about DLC

1. Is it true DLC courses aren't available in community play?

2. I read on polygon that there are trials to test the DLC courses, where?

3. I also read on Polygon that Gold Mario will be available to all once all the DLC is released, true?

4. What are Gold Mario's stats, and why is he so special?

1. Partially true. DLC can be used in communities only if the community is code-access only, and if every player has the DLC.

A- Purchase all 3 packs (Only 2 are out at the moment)
B- Purchase the season pass

So... is it possible to search for a DLC, meaning, is it possible to jump into a dlc game or.do I need to come to a place like here an get a code

You have to register a community with a code to play a DLC tournament. But if you do register it you may come across it when searching. I've had it happen with the GameFAQs community.

Hmmm.... that might be a deal breaker.

The tournaments using DLC courses, you won't need to do a code search, but live multiplayer in community, you will.

The above answer is more accurate but for one detail on #4. Have you played Nintendo's Coin Collection tournaments? In there the only item on-course is an actual Coin Flower item, as in some stages in New Super Mario Bros. 2. You start the current one with 6. the best way to describe Gold Mario's shot is Mario, but using a Coin Flower on every single drive. You cannot disable it as if to remove the item.

The name "Gold Mario" sounded like a special character I wanted to play as, but his ball bounces so erratically, he's not really useful unless you want coins.
