Eh probably, I just don't like playing the game wrong.

No me neither.
Also the Skellige deck kind of sucks so i don't really see the point in going out of your way just to get it early.

To play devil's advocate, it's extremely easy to go to Toussaint purely to get the Skellige deck if that's all you wanted to do:

what I don't like about Skellige deck is the leader cards (both of them) are useless.

I'm playing through exclusively with a Monster deck on NG+. Just went to Skellige immediately for all the vendors. Only played 5 games with the Northern Realms deck before I got my Monster Deck working. I'll say that it definitely keeps Gwent a little more interesting when you're playing it a different way.

If I ever play a third time, Skellige deck was actually something I was considering! Glad this post happened to pop up.

No way dude, both have uses. The weather one is obvious; cut their cards down whilst you're still count more.

The Crach leader is severely underrated. You use it by using weaker cards in round one and then removing them from your graveyard in round 2, so that you can use really powerful cards in round 2 and they are the only ones left in your graveyard, so they automatically get played by the deck perk to start round 3.

Yeah but my play style relies heavily on spies, medics and recalling them with decoy so I hate Skellige deck for that.

When you play weaker cards in round 1, opponent will also play weaker cards (I play gwent on hard difficulty), so an Craite card doesn't help much although it's better than Bran card.

So im lvl 19 about to leave novigrad and go to skellinge. Could i instead go and complete the new gwent quest line in blood and wine dlc or should i wait untill i completed the base game to avoid some spoilers? Or can i just go and collect the new cards and then return to the base game?

Good question, but kind of hard to answer. If you're playing on Death March difficulty, this will be really hard for you. I have severe gaming OCD so I just did all of the base game stuff first, then did the DLC stuff afterwards with that character. I was like level 30 or so and playing on Death March and some parts were challenging. The DLCs are so fun and immersive on their own that I'm not sure you'd want to start them in conjunction with the main game anyways though?
