https://imgtc.ws/ is down again, and the fact that it's the only non-gif-exclusive site that GameFAQs supports in its built-in image embedding is again becoming a problem. Can you please add support for at least one more image uploading site to the built-in image embedding? I'd personally recommend https://vgy.me but there are several other image uploading sites out there that support direct linking and would work just fine.

Also, this is a separate issue regarding image embedding: Can you please add an option to load embedded images as a smaller thumbnail by default and then click on them if we want to see the full-sized version? Right now, images automatically embed at full size, so pages with several really large mages would be very annoying to scroll through, and could also cause loading issues for users browsing on mobile. The problem is exacerbated even more when people start quoting the posts and the large images show up multiple times.

Both of these would be welcome additions to the site and would make browsing and posting on the boards easier. Please consider them.

Agree wholeheartedly on both of these.

I love imgtc, but we need a back-up.

Small image display/click for full size - this would solve the "quoting huge images" problem.

This sounds like a different suggestion than this one.

I wouldn't mind the limit of one image host if it was managed by gamefaqs. So basically it would only go down if gamefaqs went down but that's clearly not the case.

what's the reasoning for limiting it to specific sites

Sadly, that one's out of GameFAQs' control. Imgur themselves decided to break direct linking specifically for this site.

I have no idea. Just doing general direct linking based on the extension at the end of the link (like .jpg or .gif) seems like it would be easier.

Yes because it bypasses the constant problem of sites going down/ getting blocked.

Other gaming boards have this function too.
