Some games get patched, or new relevant information is released, etc. that would make it useful to be able to edit stickied topic posts. Better than adding any new info down at the bottom after potentially hundreds of replies

I think the general procedure people deal with is just to make an updated thread, with the new info in it; then they request the new one be stickied and the outdated one unstickied.

Still a little unnecessary IMO. I feel like this has been brought up a bunch in the past but I forget the site's general stance on it.
