I've noticed there's many other video games out there that aren't listed on this website, if I can provide more information can we create more groups for these devices to inform people that these do exist?

Do you mean consoles or games specifically? Just asking because it seemed like you switched halfway through (from games to devices).

Both could be submitted to site normally, but I doubt the site would be unaware of any consoles that don't meet their personal criteria. Games is certainly another matter altogether.

Both consoles and games.

Both consoles and games.

Well, games are simple enough to add - you can usually add them through here if they're not on the site whatsoever:

(Contribute > Release Data > Create A New Game)
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/contribute/submit_data?edit=newprod

Typically, you will have to provide some sort of proof that the game was commercially distributed. This could vary from circumstance to circumstance. For example, online games you could use a Steam page or an official website; for physical games, some sort of shop listing or perhaps one on Amazon/eBay would help; etc.

You'd use this same form if the game is on the site, but not a port of it. For example, a hypothetical port of Final Fantasy VII to the PS2 would be submitted through that form above, but you'd leave a note in the bottom box on the form that "hey, this is a port of Final Fantasy VII" or something of the sort - alongside the other corroborating materials.

.

If the game itself exists on the site, but was produced in a country that isn't listed on the game's Release Data page - for example, say the Japanese release of Final Fantasy VII wasn't listed - you could add that too.

From Contribute > Release Data you get to https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/contribute/submit_data

From there, you can fill in a platform and search for the game you want to contribute to, and from there you can find a link to add a new release.

The proof standards are more or less the same as for a brand-new game, though.

.

About the only nuance I can think of is that online-distributed games (e.g. Steam) don't need to have a release for every region even if available there. The site just lists a US release and leaves it at that for simplicity. Same for if the game is available on Steam in addition to from an official site or something (I encountered that issue with Doki Doki Literature Club since it's on Steam and on its own itch.io site).

.

Consoles I don't think you'd have much luck with. @ZoopSoul is the guy to ask about what it comes to with consoles and adding them to the site since he manages the game database and such - though I want to reiterate that there's almost no chance that there's a console not on the site that has been released. Not saying that to put you down or to be a dick about it; it's just that this site has a ton of gaming enthusiasts and such on here, including the administrators themselves, so it'd be hard to find something that hasn't caught their eye in the past.

Another console nuance I think that might be relevant would likely be bootleg consoles. For the most part, though there are exceptions, the site does avoid bootleg consoles and such. For example, I recall a bootleg console that combined the NES, FDS, and SNES all into one console. I think Sega bootlegs were also pretty popular in terms of consoles and games in Brazil and might still be? Just a thought since the site usually doesn't accept those for games so they almost certainly won't accept those for consoles.

.

Sorry for the long-winded rant.

I think the short of it is that if there is any game missing for the database you can add it to the site provided you have proof of its distribution. Consoles I doubt you'd have any luck with and I'm not sure where one would even add those to begin with.

Zoop is usually pretty cool with telling you why a game doesn't meet the standards if he ultimately rejects it, too.
