Badges were added to this site in 2016 to encourage people to be more active on multiple parts of the site. You can currently view a list of every badge that you've earned on your public profile. Every badge has 5 levels, which are based on how many times you've done certain things. What I am suggesting is a feature to show you how far away from the next level you are. I envision it sort of like how Steam shows you your game achievements for things that involve numbers: https://i.imgtc.com/rTYPVKT.png These would show on your personal badge page when you view it while logged in; they would be hidden for other people looking at your profile.

Say you have the level 4 Voter badge (vote in 250 Polls of the Day). There's a huge gap until you reach level 5 (1000 PotDs). Along with your level 4 badge, it would display something like this:
Voter (5)
Awarded to users who have voted in 1000 Polls of the Day

This way you can see exactly how far along you are. This would also benefit the many contribution-related badges, as it would be tedious to have to count each of your contributions manually. This data is already stored by the site, obviously, that's how they award the badges. I'm suggesting that it be made public to the users. Level 1 badges would not need to be shown as they are generally given for doing something just 1 time, for the first time.

I think that this simple change would further encourage more people to be active and work for badges, keeping in the spirit of why the badge system was created originally. People are more likely to aim for the next level badge if they can see exactly what they need to do for it, rather than having to repeat it an unknown number of times before discovering that they got the badge.

It must happen. I pulled my feedback an year ago because of bad explanation. Anyway, this is something I ever wanted.
This would make GameFAQs itself a game in which you have to solve quests to earn badges.!!
