E.g. Borderlands Handsome Collection on Xbox1 and PS4.

Exactly same game, there is no need for separate message boards both titles should direct to a same shared message board.

This has been shot down by the admins numerous times now.
Don't try to think we can understand each other. For some reason, people think that they can do that. Remember that they can't. Never completely. Never enough.

The purpose and original design of this site, which differentiated it from most other sites of the time, was to allow every video game in existence to have its own board, no matter how obscure they were or how many times they were released. That is still a big draw of this site (even though it's now a standard practice) and they're not going to change it because there's no reason to.

You could try a different suggestion to make some sort of "multiplatform shared" board that pulls topics from multiple individual boards. That has also been suggested before and I'm sure the admins have seen it as well, but no matter how they choose to implement it (if at all), they're still not going to stop making separate boards for separate releases.

Keep in mind that different versions of a game may have different features. Sure, most aren't as different as SSB4 Wii U/3DS, but they may be different enough to cause some confusion.

In addition, some members are rather ...passionate... about how they prefer one console to another. Forcing people from rival consoles to share a board can lead to trouble, especially when the releases are not identical.
