With the second rise of plug & plays like the NES Classic Edition and SNES Classic Edition, I think these "fixed systems" ("Plug & Play" would exclude all of the handheld ones) should have their own platform with each separate machine being the "games".

Good idea. But see this first.


If you select 'Own' in ownership status, you can see many version of Windows (XP, 7, 8, etc).

Similarly, they should add new version of NES and SNES that you're saying (Plug & Play).
