Anonymously of course. The idea is that perhaps the post itself isn't a violation in the eyes of GameFAQs however people may still take offense to it, in the context of the topic for example. The aim would be to then have a user be able to remove their post out of politeness.

Not really a good idea as IIRC mods can still see a post that's edited or deleted regardless.

I'm not sure what that has to do with what I said?

Honestly, I don’t see this happening.

My reason is you’ll end up with more Flame/trolling than anything.

Let me explain via example if this was to happen:

Poster 1 says something that poster 2 finds offensive but again doesn’t break the rules.

Poster 2 marks post

Poster 1 remarks about a marked message and starts ranting about all the users thus a Flame war starts.

Realistically this is what should be done

Poster 1 says something offensive but doesn’t break the rules.

Poster 2 hits ignore and moves on.

And as if anyone would remove an offensive post for a few people I don’t think they honestly would in fact it would be more bait to get someone else modded.

I don't really see the use in this. If one of my posts is marked but is never actually moderated I don't need to know.

Some people can find offense in pretty much anything and no doubt a lot of messages get marked despite being perfectly acceptable.

Not against the idea if someone wants it, but I wouldn't use it and it needs the option to turn it off.

This seems like something that would give trolls a field day, especially if it couldn't be turned off.

Just because someone marks a post doesn't mean that there's actually a problem with it. I sometimes wonder what the statistic for marked posts vs moderated posts is, but I have a feeling that's mod-only info.

I'll be honest this was the exact reason I wanted it but suspected it would be picked up on.

Worth a shot though guys!

anti signs, if it is against tos for announcing a marked message, then I don't see it being a feature

Admins have stated in the past it's not really your business what messages of yours are getting marked unless it actually get moderated. I can't see that changing. If people think your topic is in bad taste we have a PM system for a reason.
Don't try to think we can understand each other. For some reason, people think that they can do that. Remember that they can't. Never completely. Never enough.
