I've got 2 larvitars - one with 5 perfects ivs and one with 3. However, it's taking a while landing 4. They'll both level soon and I don't want the daycare to delete my egg moves. Is there an easy way around this? Hatching eggs takes a lot of steps and this also levels them quick

You can relearn egg moves from the move relearner if the pokemon looses it.

1* track their daycare growth and take them out every so often to rearrange their movelist so the egg moves remain on the bottom

2. Level them up high enough so they level slow in the daycare and will not have too much left on their levelup list to learn.

Seriously? They added that? I don't recall being able to do that before

Only thing I could recommend is removing the non-egg moves every so often.

If you keep them in the daycare, it doesn't matter if they level up and overwrite the moves. The eggs will still know the moves.

But you can remove them from the daycare and rearrange the movelist to put the egg moves at the bottom if you really don't want to use a heart scale.

Move deleter. Delete the moves you don't need. Will give you a bit of leeway.

I've found that as long as you don't touch the Pokemon in the day care, it will continue to pass down the egg moves it had when you first put it in there.

If you have to pull either one out for whatever reason though, you can just bring the egg move Pokemon to the Move Tutor to get its egg move back.
