Penumbra puzzle in Light Crusader for the sega genesis/megadrive. I had to look up what the word meant in a dictionary just for a clue.

MGS

The Codec frequency being on the back of the game case and changing controller ports on the Mantis fight was great. He tells you what to do in a cryptic way, saying he can read your mind etc

Spider-Man/X-Men SEGA Genesis

I tried playing this the other...year, and for the life of me couldn't get past the first screen. There's a locked door and nothing I could think of would open it.

They're just getting more and more elaborate but in saying that, they're getting easier with the objectives. The Easter eggs and other challenges would be difficult without guides.

I want to say the halo 5 Easter egg that no One is yet to work out. It begins on the first level of campaign when you shoot a knife and just keeps going on.
