Legitimately, I'd like a console with a USP that's not just "the same but stronger". If the next Xbox turns out to be the Hololens itself (not an add-on, I mean that IS the console) I'll be incredibly chuffed.

Imagine a console that, much like the Switch, isn't tied to the TV at all. If you wanted to play traditional games, you'd just create an AR screen and play on that. If you want VR, the lenses can obscure the outside world and offer gyroscopic movement-based gameplay. If you want to play that awesome Star Wars beast chess thing Chewbacca plays with C3PO on the Millennium Falcon, but projected onto your coffee table, you can do that too.

- At least Native 4K and 60 FPS on all titles

- Compatibility with some type(s) of VR, AR, or MR (it can be Hololens, something else made by MS, or just compatibility with an existing headset like the HTC Vive)

- Better performance within the UI

- More 1st party titles

I don't want to be playing 8K at 30fps. I want 60fps to be the standard even if it's 1080p. I'm done giving a s*** about resolution because 1080p and higher looks great. Give me performance and give me full backwards and forwards compatibility from this day forward. I want to know that the games I own today, will look and run great on future consoles. I don't think I need to worry about BC, because it's obvious the plan is to keep the Xbox platform unified from here on out.

I wouldn't mind an elaboration.

You know what would be great. Keep the current features and services of what we have now with obviously a more powerful console, but allow the next gen consoles to have Steam installed. Someone correct me here, but is Steam a service that’s exclusive to PC, and if so who is paying for said exclusivity?
Yeah, well, you know, that's just like, uh, your opinion, man- The Dude

Considering the X1X is as powerful as the average gaming PC, there is no reason Microsoft can’t get more games that would formerly be PC-only on the console.

They need to continue the BC trend, and make sure all games bought digitally on the One can be transferred ASAP.

I think Microsoft learned their lesson about exclusives. There should be a ton of them at launch.
Myths, Lies and complete stupidity barely scratch the surface of your ignorance.
