Until VR can prove it belongs in the industry as a solid, consistent form of revenue for investors then it will continue to stay as it is, a niche product for hobbists whom enjoy it.

How can it prove itself if no one support it??

By letting people like Sony and others whom are already invested in trying to prove its worth it lay the ground work.

While I support any company trying to bring new technology off the ground and prove its worthy investment, a company like Microsoft has no business doing so right now.

I’d sooner support Nintendo having a go at it then Microsoft. Nintendo has a history of innovation and success, Microsoft’s Xbox brand currently does not and thus has far more to lose then gain.

Sadly, Ninty would have to release a current gen platform before they'd have a hope of presenting any worthwhile VR experience.

Yes it does! It needs VR CHAT. the biggest sensation and fun for everyone \(^o^)/
Killer app for vr. Many avatars to play as, or design and model your own if you know how.

Well according to NPD the PSVR sales are down from last December so... ouch.

Sony’s will definitely be abandoning VR by end of 2018 with sales that bad
GameFAQS... a forum where the mods fall asleep for days at a time and when they do their job, they do it badly.

Im not really interested in VR, but I can see why people like it.

Im kind of expecting it to flop, like 3D did
Fact: Nintendo is the best, there is no point denying it.

You can play that without VR.

At least sony and nintendo try to save and give support to the gadgets they release.

MS just kills everything or stop before it actually grows.

Vr is neat as hell for about an hour then you just want a regular tv and controller to actually play games and relax. Same as Kinect and motion controls just distractions that are ultimately gimmicks with no practical application.

Well, that's how I feel about it.

Once you've activated all the extra gear, made sure the dog's locked away in the next room, shooed all of your furniture out of the way and calibrated, you usually get about 30-40 minutes out of it before the lenses start to steam up, or your duodenum starts to make gurgly noises, or your mind is just too taxed from all that equilibrium-eff-uppery. I mean, they're great, those 30-40 minutes, but afterwards you feel like you need a rest.

I don't know about you, but any gaming device that makes me feel like it needs to be a high-energy event is going to fall neatly into the "once in a while" category.

Though that said, the first time I tried out Job Simulator, I played until I got knackered then spent another hour watching all of the videos I took, so I guess that part counts as my "rest".

Wow, you have to do all that? I literally pick up my Vive, put it on, and pick game I want to play. Very similar to me picking up my controller, picking a game, and playing.
