Just finished watching the video that TC posted.

Those guys discuss some positives and negatives.

The pro's:

- The UI is the best its been (even though they still have some issues with it)
- Backwards compatibility (bringing original Xbox games into the program and enhancing some too)
- The Xbox One X hardware itself (the look and power).

The con's:

- The games (it's no secret that 2017 wasn't a great year in terms of exclusives for Microsoft / Xbox). They talk about how most of the confirmed games for Microsoft are sequels. They also mention how there is no release date (other than 2018) for Sea of Thieves. I just want to point out here that we may be getting the release date today.

https://www.gamespot.com/articles/sea-of-thieves-coming-to-the-game-awards/1100-6455345/

- They feel Microsoft has not explained how much better games will look on the One X (which is a fair argument in my opinion because it depends on the game / developer)

They also talk a little about Play Anywhere, and basically say there is some good and bad. It's a nice feature over Playstation, but releasing exclusives on the PC means you don't need to upgrade to a One X.

Overall, the three guys seem to agree that 2017 was a great year of growth for Xbox, and it's really about what they do in 2018; however, they want Microsoft to do something with the power of the One X, and most importantly, release some more games.

Not a bad video, in my opinion. They make some fair points.

The Xbox had nothing as far as huge exclusives this year but to say it has no games is silly. That's an opinion.

Forza is what?

A game I forgot about. And not on the same level of release as horizon or other exclusives that I mentioned were huge.

Horizon sold less than 4 million in a platform more than 2x bigger than the Xbone in terms of players. Forza sold an average of 2-3 millions with the last entries, and that's a year based franchise. So you tell me what IP is bigger.

Not trying to bash Horizon btw, it seems to be a good game.

I think even MLB is a bigger franchise now than Forza.
First week sales of the most recent game:

Your eyes do not deceive you the last MLB game sold 3 times as much as the last Forza game. Forza is even less significant than most of those no name weed games PS4 gets all the time. Not the significant ones like Persona, I mean it's in line with stuff like Senran Kagura, and all the other ones you can't name.

Whoa! Very insightful video...

Thanks for the link!

What a waste of one of your limited posts! When you’re on warned status for having a psychotic troll meltdown, you need to use those minimal post allowances for something more substantial.

But you have no idea what Forza sold. Seems like an odd thing to lie about, even for someone with over 100 banned troll accounts.

If Microsoft abandoned the gaming scene, I wouldn't lose sleep. Same with Sony or Nintendo.

Same for me. I think it's funny how invested some people are in wanting any one of the three to fail. They get no personal benefit, just unpaid hypemen.

Uncertain future.

Just launched the most powerful console a month ago.

Ya....

Didn't Sega released the most powerful console just before their end?

No.

Sega announced they were ending hardware sales on January 31st, 2001, and the PS2 was the most powerful available console at the time.

And Sega did not end.

So which part of this means that releasing the most powerful console makes one immune to having an uncertain future?

The same could be said for Sony and PS4, now being dominated by Switch couldnt the future of their next console and involvement in the gaming industry be uncertain?...Nothing is ever certain.

PlayStation just had it’s best year in history, and they have high profile games lined for atleast the next two years. Switch is clearly a return to form for Nintendo.

Xbox just had its worst year in terms of hardware sales since OG Xbox days, and an even worse one in terms of games and they have jack s*** to correct that in the future. That’s why it’s future has been called uncertain by industry commentators over at gamespot. Maybe watch the video before giving your two cents?

TC you are absolute garbage and what is wrong with this board.

So you don't agree that the video was an insightful look at the situation...? You do know you don't have to agree with what is being said...as long as it's truthful...
Q: "I presume there will never be an Xbox One sold without it...Would that be correct?"
A: "Correct. Xbox One is Kinect." Microsoft VP

Mario is still trying to take the no life troll crown I see. You really need to grow up kid, it isn't healthy and trolling this board isn't getting one back on all the bullies who beat you up for your lunch money either.
