I agree, I was in Manitoba though it doesn't change the fact that this removing of this implemented rule (2015) in USA will not change anything.

Tinfoil hats

Better to put a tinfoil hat over your head than bury it in the sand.

Yeah, i wanted to play PUBG and BDO on xbox one, and that was IT, I would be done with multiplayer. Looks like I am anyway. No way would I renew any subscriptions or even make any big DL's until I know for sure how I will be robbed for using what has always been free.

Question here, if removing Net Neutrality isn’t going to raise prices and make providers more money than whats the point of removing it? Most of us have decent internet and its functioning fine right now, why try and change that even if it does nothing?

Probably because it is going to put more money in the pockets of the providers and where do you think that money is going to come from?

Also despite what a few morons have been saying on here, not every has access to tons of providers. I live in the metro Detroit area and my apartment only has access to 2 providers, Comcast and U-Verse. Comcast is a terrible f***ing company and I can’t stand them but the maximum amount I can get though U-Verse is 20mbs and f*** that.

You idiots need to wake the f*** up and realize there is a bigger world outside of your moms basement.

If I were Blizzard, Bluehole, Epic, Infinity Ward, or any other company that makes lots of online games, this would piss me off as it WILL cost them money too. But they are silent, and that is beyond perplexing. Reddit has spoken up, and Angry Joe, Google too. I mean, think of it, if your livelihood comes from your customers accessing the internet, and someone is going to make it harder for them to do that, wouldn't you be pissed and throwing money at a team of lawyers? Heck, if we are paying overage fees to dl games, then it should be every company that is currently making games. This will hurt their wallets.

"liberal" scare tactics at work here praying on the weak minded. The internet was fine before NN and it will be fine if it gets voted to end. A handful of examples of bulls*** does not equate this "end of the world" scenarios that "liberals" are trying to scream about will happen. But then again "liberals" are stupid and pray on stupid people to do their bidding.

@50inchDLP
Liberal?
LIBERAL????
Are you f***ing kidding me????
This has NOTHING to do with liberal, conservative, or whatever the f*** political bulls***.
I don't even follow politics (I prefer to stay the f*** away from all that bulls***) but even I know that this threat to net neutrality is a serious thing that should NOT happen.
I don't care if someone is conservative, liberal, or whatever other stupid label, if this Ajit Pai guy has his way, we are ALL going to get f***ing screwed.

For anyone thinking that the possibility of net neutrality being eliminated is "tinfoil", the former FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler reacts to current FCC Chairman Ajit Pai's plans to void net neutrality rules. Guess what? He thinks trying to kill net neutrality is a shameful sham and sellout and he's taking this news very seriously since it could happen and he doesn't want it to happen:

The reason why they put in Net Neutrality in the first place is because there were several incidents before 2015 where ISPs started abusing their power and they were showing heavy signs of abusing their power even more and more before net neutrality went into effect. Net Neutrality was able to legally stop the major abuse that ISPs started doing and were attempting to do. That's the f***ing reason why net neutrality is even a thing. Do you think someone created net neutrality just for s***s and giggles?

There were several reasons why it was created in the first place. Hell, OTHER countries started doing Net Neutrality before us (most notably Chile, Canada and the Netherlands and others) to stop abuse from spiraling out of control. The reason why certain individuals want Net Neutrality removed is because ISPs want to abuse their power so they can make more money but they can't do that until net neutrality is removed.
