Helloo,

So God Eater 3 is in pretty nice discount atm (-50%?), and as a huge Monster Hunter fan I’m considering getting this one.

Are these two games similiar at all outside of.. well hunting monsters? Have you played it? Did you like it?

I’m looking for something cool for this weekend so it’s either this or Greedfall atm

Thanks in advance and have a nice weekend

I didn't enjoy god eater 1 and 2

But god eater 3, it felt good that I was able to finish it

I loved that monsters didn't take forever to kill even tho I was using dual blades, apparently it's not very strong

Also... I feel like it's easier to get mats on ge3 compared to mon hun world

Environments are lame tho since they are too small and not many of them

god eater 3 is great. it is a faster and easyer monster hunter. its got the same loop of pick a mission, you hunt these monster on this map, harvest them for materials, craft or upgrade weapons repeat. great customization for your loadout.

I've been enjoying it.
The combat is faster than Monster Hunter. I think its overall easier, though I'm not that far into the game.
There is more story (not necessarily better) than Monster Hunter.
Plus I like the character creator more.

But is there any weight behind the physics or do the movements and attacks still feel empty and devoid of any impact like the first 2 titles?

They stagger after you hit them a bunch of times.

But yeah. Can't have stagger on hit all the time for games like these

I enjoyed it for a while, but kinda dropped it with the online being dead on arrival. I can tell it'd be more fun with friends

No no I get that. But in MH, you feel the weight of your weapons and movements, as you do in Dark Souls and Bloodborne, etc... My main gripe with the GE series was always the lack of this aspect. It's doubly apparent when you perform a jump or get knocked back by a monster. The physics just always felt half-baked.

Wondering if 3 is more polished in that regard.
Don't expect me to sugarcoat.
