On a 90mil install base thats pretty weak.

That's because there are way too many games available. Massive 3rd party support. Something nintendo does not have and thus the only games that sell are first party.
On PlayStation you always have a massive selection of games.

Nintendo games on switch hitting those number in one year without price reduction xD

What else to buy on Switch? 3rd party games?

Uh yeah. That's normal.

And by that logic, we'd have seen these numbers on the WiiU.
Z370 | i7 8700 | Cryorig M9i | EVGA GTX 1080ti | EVGA GS 650w | 16GB DDR4 | WDB 3TB |500GB SSD | Toshiba 500GB | Challenger S | VS XG2703-GS | LG 27UD68 |

We saw them. 13 million lifetime consoles and first party games selling actually good.

Exactly. It sold 13 million lifetime consoles.

Mario Kart 8 sold 8.4 million. Super Mario 3D World sold 5.8 million. New Super Mario Bros. U sold 5.8 million. Smash Bros. for Wii U sold 5.3 million. Nintendo Land sold 5.2 million. Splatoon sold 4.9 million.

Those are very high attach rates for a system that only sold 13 million units.

10 million is great. It's only been out for 13 months. For comparison Skyrim sold 20 million copies in 2 years. PC, 360 and PS 3 combined install base was probably 200 million.

Why do people care about game sales so much these days. The only thing i see is how sad UC3 was better yet it sold worse or how that casual Dad of War outsold the best real GoWII. Kids these days are so casual and indoctrinated. In my days i didnt go saying GT3 sold 15 million to my friends lol people now talk like they work at Sony xD they be checking if Days Gone will sell like other exclusives like its important for them lol

Sales determine whether there will be sequels and how much work goes into a sequel. With 10 million sales Sony will likely be going all out on the next God of War
fair and balanced

The typical attach rate of games on a console by the end of its life is like 8-10. Do you think every one of those 90 million users are all just buying the same 10 games? If you expect all thebiggest titles to have sales #'s much closer to that total install base then you quickly run out of other game sales.

Should be a surprise to no one that a large library dilutes the sales #'s.

That's even more impressive. Nintendo games sell that much without barely any price drops, on a much smaller playerbase (that would be much bigger if the Switch had the big third party games) and on a console that sells almost exclusive because of them. Not taking anything from Sony sales, but Nintendo games are more popular. This is a fact.

That's because of no 3rd party support and thus no competition for Nintendo games. It's been that since the N64.
On PlayStation there is a massive 3rd party support which is a big competition for first party games. That's the reason behind 'only 15m for Uncharted 4 with an install base of 97m'.

Another example is SNES. It didn't have that great attach rate of first party games because it had a massive 3rd party support.
