  3. $300 in 1995 is now worth $503 in 2019. So PS5 should be $500.

http://www.in2013dollars.com/us/inflation/1995?amount=300

"U.S. Inflation Rate, $300 in 1995 to 2019
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics consumer price index, today's prices in 2019 are 67.68% higher than average prices throughout 1995. The dollar experienced an average inflation rate of 2.18% per year during this period, meaning the real value of a dollar decreased.

In other words, $300 in 1995 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $503.05 in 2019, a difference of $203.05 over 24 years.

The 1995 inflation rate was 2.83%. The current inflation rate (2018 to 2019) is now 2.00%1. If this number holds, $300 today will be equivalent in buying power to $305.99 next year. The current inflation rate page gives more detail on the latest official inflation rates."

The original Playstation launched in 1995 for $300. According to inflation, the Playstation 5 would probably be $500. And for all of you complaining that prices are too high, you have to consider inflation, because the money you have today isn't the same it was 25 years ago.

That's because old money gets shredded and replaced with new fresh money.
One day Suikoden 6 will happen and the world will be a better place for all.

Did you read the op? $300 in 1995 is about $500 in 2019. That's not paying more for less.

so just because you hate usa you want us to pay more.so you get the cheaper version of the ps5 .while we get the one with everything . i could handle that .but the down side with your thought is . we have people that want everything in the ps5 at a lower price as well

I am voicing my opinion here .when i post .sorry if it does not fit your opinion

Sure if you just ignore advances in technology.

Apples do not equal oranges.

It's not the same thing.

Doesn't work that way, market dictate what price of an item should and shouldn't be. If people don't want to pay 500 or 600 for what you are selling, you will need to lower the price, no matter how it was priced 20 years ago.
