What they dont realize is its cause they dont have trashmp games full of mts and lootboxes or any inclusion just for the sake of being pc and that's the reason

and because Japanese tend to play on the go since they're barely at home which is why mobile and handhelds are more popular there.

Other reason is because most adults do not play video games as they are too preoccupied with work and success. The notion of playing video games (mobile gets a pass oddly) is still a negative stigma for adults, only accepted and relocated to Otaku, kids, and Hikikkomori (shut ins), unlike the West, which has gravitated out of the social stigma of video games being 'only for kids and nerds' from the 80s and 90's.

Gaming would be very boring without franchises like Pokemon, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, etc.

It's funny because American games like League of Legends, Starcraft, WoW, PUBG, and for a short time, Overwatch are more popular in Asia than they are "in the west"

Probably because western games are tired of being nickled-and-dimed by western publishers. So they are going to games where they get more value for their money. Japanese games have always put quality over monetary gain.

Did you not bother to read the article? It never says western game sells are dropping. In fact games like god of war are breaking records.

this has been true since the atari 7800 died, kid
almost every NES game was from japan
