Damn I didn't realize that so much had changed ;_;

back in the Xbox, ps2 and Gamecube gen I had lots of fun playing local multiplayer and LAN PARTY where you could plays some FPS games with no latency or lag.

360 and ps3 originally had options for LAN and local multiplayer in the early years with its original games.

Now most ps3 games don't have local mulitplayer and lan party options are rare as hell.

PS4 doesn't have LAN at all and just a couple local multiplayer games :(

I really miss being in the same room as my gamer friends playing multiplayer stuff together.
Also LAN and local multiplayer >>>> online multiplayer because of lag.

Yeah or LAN party with Halo and having a bunch of friends bring their Xbox and tv and you clear out your living room and just spend the weekend playing and eating pizza.

Playing online is different and I wish we just had options.

Online play happened. Sadly that's what most gamers care about the most. It's the same reason why campaigns in fps keep getting shorter and shorter. If you want to know what happened, look at your fellow gamers and you will know.

I recommend purchasing Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition when it comes out. It will support 2-4 player local co-op. Will be available for purchase on August 19, 2014.

For games that are P2P (a lot) playing online within the same local network will provide you the same benefits as a LAN party mode.

Awesomenauts is great co-op or against each other. I haven't played the PS4 version though, just on PS3 and PC.
Valkyria Chronicles is the best RPG last gen!
Matt-Moores - Taking awesome to a whole new level. Enjoy the PS4!
